Custom Rigging & Lighting Console Cases

Hoist motor cases are heavy duty trunks (A-Style) cases with cradles shaped to fit the individual chain motor and compartments for chain or chain motor bags.  From small Prostars to large 2-Tons, motor boxes all have one thing in common; they need to be built for weight and durability.  The cases are built of 12mm hardwood ply, the cradles of 19mm birch.  Most hoist cases have stacking cups and 4x2 casters. Planning for truck pack, Jan-Al has designs for 90”, 96” and 102” trucks in quarter, third and half pack.

Lighting cases are separated into controllers, racks and lighting instruments.  Go to racks and show control for those items.  Cases for lights are then separated into entertainment instruments such as spotlights, moving lights and the myriad of LED instruments. 

Due to their size, spotlights are most often in a POC case with the stand in a separate case or broken down into the smallest footprint. 

• Moving lights can be two or four in a case depending on the truck pack and the stage deployment.  Stacking dishes are a good option, and a review of the optimum lid removal is encouraged.

• LED lighting instruments are most often shipped on pipe in a case or a cart so they can be lifted into the rigging. Because these can be lower value items, universal designs that fit multiple lights are a great option.

Jan-Al has a number of designs for S60-C, S120-C and S360-C.  The cases include compartments for diffusers and the remote kit.  There is a heavy duty shipping model and a small footprint model for those needing to consider tight storage situations.
